Burning
The quality of our scented candles requires specific burning guidelines. To maintain the aesthetics of your candle and prevent craters from appearing, it is important to wait for the surface to melt completely before extinguishing the candle. The first time the candle burns will always take longer than the subsequent times.
We also recommend extinguishing the candle within one hour after the surface of the wax has completely melted. In this way, you extend its life because the liquid wax evaporates faster.
Take care not to leave the candle burning unsupervised, and not to expose it to heat sources or air currents. Exposure of the candle to air currents will cause the flame to flicker and emit black smoke.
Also, be careful not to burn the last cm of wax: a flame burning against the glass can cause the glass to burst.
The maintenance
To extend the life of your candle and preserve its aesthetics, it is important to take good care of your candle once it has burned.
In order to prevent soot formation during burning, you should regularly trim the wicks to a maximum length of 0.6 cm. It is also beneficial to clean the inside of the glass with a non-alcoholic product. If necessary, move the wicks to the center each time after burning.
